     *    One  example of the FE's broad range of applications, includes ocean-going  ships.  Even salt water can be used as the
operating fluid, with the steam  exhaust itself further powering an underwater propulsion system.  This  would be in
addition to the primary propulsion produced from the  propellers.

  •     Because the FE can be configured to use the heat produced from an  external combustion Burner, Bunker Fuel would burn much cleaner.  Therefore,  lower levels of  exhaust pollutants would be going into our oceans.  Clean burning, liquefied coal could well replace the bunker fuel.
  •     In a modified open-loop system, the steam exhaust can also power an underwater jet-like propulsion device, attached to the Exhaust port of the FE. The device would add further reaction thrust for ocean-going vessels.
  • This concept has been known for some time, but until now, such systems have failed to achieve expectations, due to the design flaws of the engines used.
